"I do like the software overall, but the..."
I do like the software overall, but the price feels way too high for what I need, lol. The licensing setup is also kind of annoying if you switch computers or upgrade your setup. For smaller projects, it just doesn’t really feel worth the cost.

"Updates have been a bit frustrating lately"
I’ve been using Dragonframe for a while, the core software is still really helpful for what I do. That said, the recent updates have felt kind of rough. Some of the fixes are definitely useful, but then it seems like a new random issue pops up right after, because of course it does.

I’ve had a couple projects where things suddenly ran slower or certain settings changed in ways I wasn’t expecting after updating. Support has been fine overall, no major complaints there, but I do wish the updates felt a little more thoroughly tested before being pushed out. It’s not a dealbreaker, just annoying when you’re in the middle of actual work and need the software to behave

"Onion skinning was rough"
I tried Dragonframe mainly for the onion skinning, it just didn’t work that well for me. The preview felt choppy, and I had a hard time lining up my shots. Maybe it’s better with a different setup, but for the price, I expected it to feel a lot smoother. I’m disappointed.

"I really wanted to get into..."
I really wanted to get into a rhythm with it, but the setup kept slowing me down, little things kept tripping me up, and every shot ended up taking way longer than I expected

"Live view lag makes it hard to trust"
I’ve been frustrated with the live view so far. It freezes and lags a lot while I’m animating, which really slows me down and makes me nervous about losing progress or making mistakes I can’t catch in real time. For the price, I expected it to feel a lot smoother and more reliable. I’ve had to restart it way more often than I’m comfortable with

"Kept cutting out during my shoot"
I was trying to do a stop motion project and this little box just keeps cutting out right in the middle of it. It was really frustrating because I had everything set up, then the hardware would drop and mess up the flow. it kind of ruined the whole shoot for me.

"Kinda a pain to figure out"
I got stuck pretty much right away, not gonna lie. The menus were confusing, and even the basic stuff took way longer than it should’ve. Overall, it just wasn’t easy to use at all.

"Jumped in fast, but the tutorials threw me off a bit"
I started going through the docs on a whim and they did help me get moving quickly. But a few of the tutorials felt kind of outdated, and I caught myself having to guess what to do next here and there. Not terrible, just a little confusing in the moment.

"Getting it set up was honestly way more frustrating than I expected"
I really wanted this to be a quick and simple setup, but it turned into a whole ordeal. The installation kept failing over and over, and I couldn’t really figure out why. I tried going through the help pages, thinking maybe I had missed some obvious step, but they didn’t actually clear anything up for me. They were either too vague or just didn’t address the issue I was running into. After a while, it started feeling like I was spending more time troubleshooting than actually using the product, which was annoying

"The tools are solid and they do..."
The tools are solid and they do what I need, but it wasn’t exactly smooth to figure everything out at first. It took me a little while to get comfortable with it. Anyway, once you get past the learning curve, it works fine.

"Great results, but not quite ready yet"
When it works, the results are genuinely impressive and feel professional. The problem is that I kept running into bugs that made it hard to rely on. I wanted to love it, but right now it left me feeling a bit frustrated rather than confident using it in production

"I picked up Dragonframe hoping it would..."
I picked up Dragonframe hoping it would make getting into stop motion a little easier, but right away I felt overwhelmed. It’s not that the program seems bad, it just throws a lot at you all at once.
There are tons of buttons, settings, and little things to figure out, and I kept having to stop and look up tutorials for stuff I thought would be simple. I can see how someone experienced would probably appreciate all the control, but as a beginner, it felt like a lot.
After a few nights of trying to push through it, I ended up setting it aside. I kind of accept that it’s probably powerful software, but for where I’m at right now, it just felt more stressful than helpful.

"Support helped, just took a little while"
I reached out to support because I was having trouble with the setup and, yeah, they did get back to me and eventually helped me sort it out. So that part was fine. It just felt like the replies were a bit slower than I was expecting, which was kind of frustrating in the moment. Not a bad experience overall though... I just wish it had moved a little faster.

"Motion control setup was a "headache""
Getting motion control working on my setup was frustrating. I kept running into connection problems, and the documentation didn’t really explain what I might be doing wrong. I ended up wasting a lot of time swapping cables and changing settings just to troubleshoot it. Maybe it works smoothly for other people, but for me it was "not worth the hassle."

"Delivery dragged on forever"
I was in a irritated mood by the time this finally showed up. The shipping took way longer than I expected, and the tracking barely updated, which just made the waiting feel even more annoying

"Works great, but for some reason it keeps freezing"
When it’s working, it’s great, but for some reason it kept freezing in the middle of shoots. I ended up losing my timing twice, which was frustrating. Support was okay, but not really anything beyond that.

"I bought Dragonframe assuming my camera setup..."
I bought Dragonframe assuming my camera setup would be fine, but I couldn’t get it to connect reliably. The compatibility info felt a bit confusing to me, though I’ll admit I might’ve missed something or had a weird setup. I ended up spending way more time digging through forums than actually animating. Maybe it works perfectly with other cameras, but based on my experience, it was frustrating and didn’t feel worth the money.
